ergoreflex (plural ergoreflexes)
- (physiology) The response, characterised by increase in ventilation, to increased exercise.
- 2005, Margaret Turner-Warwick, Living Medicine: Recollections and Reflections:
- As exercise proceeds, the working muscle signals to the brain, and generates a ventilatory response. In patients with heart failure, this 'ergoreflex' is much greater than normal.
