From fistulo- (“fistula”) + entero- (“intestine”) + -stomy (“mouth, surgical connection”), from Latin fistula (“pipe, tube”), Ancient Greek ἔντερον (énteron, “intestine”), and Ancient Greek στόμα (stóma, “mouth”).
