English

Etymology

From garri + -fication.

Noun

garrification (uncountable)

  1. The frying of cassava to produce garri (West African food).
    • 1994, Abstracts on Tropical Agriculture, page 80:
Fermentation and garrification studies, using a high cyanide cassava variety, indicate that grating prior to fermentation, fermentation, and the garrification process itself, are complementary determinants of the residual total cyanide level of the final product.
