glide path (plural glide paths)

  1. (aviation) The path of an aircraft as it lands under low power; especially, such a path advised to a pilot by radar assistance from the ground.
  2. (economics, by extension) The pattern of systematic withdrawal of money from a retirement portfolio.
  3. (figuratively, by extension) A course that leads smoothly to a particular outcome.
