      Additionally, we showed that TTP expression was reduced in patients with clinical proteinuria, with proportionately less reduction in diabetes patients with a reduced extent of DN. These results suggest that TTP levels may be more reflective of the microinflammatory state that occurs in diabetic patients prior to the occurrence of DN.
