English
Etymology
Adjective
multiitem (not comparable)
- Of or pertaining to more than one item.
- 2001, Bernard E. Harcourt, chapter 3, in Illusion of Order:
- Skogan's independent variable is called "disorder," and he constructs it by averaging two multi-item scales, "social disorder" and "physical disorder". These are both constructed by averaging the values of a number of variables, each of which corresponds to the respondents' answers to a question assessing the extent to which a certain type of disorder is perceived by them as a problem in their neighborhood.
