From French natalité. Philosophical usage introduced by Hannah Arendt.

Noun

natality (countable and uncountable, plural natalities)

  1. (demography) The ratio of live births in an area to the population of that area; expressed per 1000 population per year.
  2. (philosophy) The human ability to create new ideas, institutions and frameworks out of nothing.
