necklock (plural necklocks)

  1. A wrestling move in which the opponent's neck is held immobile.
    • 1987, Edward F. Connolly, A Cop's Cop, page 81:
      Angelo sensed something behind him; he turned and Emmett's powerful arms encircled him, trapping him in a necklock. Connolly banged into them, and all three fell onto the sidewalk, Emmett still holding the necklock and Angelo turning blue.
    • 2005, Walter Moers, Rumo & His Miraculous Adventures, page 224:
      They circled one another at a crawl, each trying for a necklock.
