Usage notes

• Uncountable objects modified by paljon are in the partitive singular case, whereas countable objects are in the partitive plural.
• paljon can sometimes take a case ending as in the following example:

  Paljollako vähenee?

  How much will the reduction be?

  (literally, “By how much does/will it decrease?”)

• paljon in the sense “a lot, much” is not used very commonly used with units of time.
