  1. (transitive) To bait again; to readd bait to.
    • 2012, Jack Coggins, Marine Painter's Guide:
      Any fish were gaffed and brought aboard, the hooks rebaited, and the line paid out on the other side. The dory thus went down the whole length of the trawl.
