refasten (third-person singular simple present refastens, present participle refastening, simple past and past participle refastened)

  1. (transitive) To fasten again.
    They had to refasten their safety belts before the driver would continue.
    • 1897, Richard Marsh, The Beetle:
      The chain was removed. Lessingham and I entered. Then the door was refastened and the chain replaced.
