1. A snow-covered mountain feature.
   • 1998, Louis W. Dawson, Wild Snow: A Historical Guide to North American Ski Mountaineering, page 36:

     For the easiest descent, drop west from the summit into the Granite Chief Wilderness via a broad snowface, then climb back to the summit or any of several saddles, and descend Ward Creek back to parking.
