  1. Light in an optical system, which was not intended in the design.
    • 2010, Joseph Besharse, Reza Dana, Encyclopedia of the Eye, Volume 1:
      Within the eye, there are four major sources that contribute to the total amount of straylight: the cornea, the iris and sclera, the eye lens, and the fundus (see Figure 3).
