  1. A library forming part of a larger library.
    • 1976, R. J. Alvey, Computers in Quantity Surveying, page 73:
      A library of skeleton descriptions is composed of skeleton descriptions with a sublibrary of words and phrases that can be used to fill the gaps in the skeleton descriptions.
  2. (chemistry) A subset of a combinatorial library (collection of compounds generated using combinatorial chemistry)
