Verb

unask (third-person singular simple present unasks, present participle unasking, simple past and past participle unasked)

  1. (transitive) To undo the asking of (a question).
    • 1999, John le Carré, Single & Single:
      Oliver's question pops out of him unbidden. Neither the surly tone nor the aggressive formulation is of his choosing. If he could unask it he would, but it's too late.
