Designed by architect I. M. Pei, its granite paving forms an intricate pattern inspired by the western diamondback rattlesnake and Navajo weaving. The mall runs from Market Street to Civic Center Station at Broadway, with the 16th Street FreeRide shuttle bus stopping at every intersection and extending off-mall to Union Station. The mall hosts hundreds of stores and restaurants, including the Denver Pavilions shopping center.
