The 45th Guards Order of Kutuzov, Order of Alexander Nevsky Spetsnaz Brigade is the only spetsnaz unit of the Russian Airborne Forces (VDV), based near Moscow. It was formed in 1994 as the 45th Independent Spetsnaz Regiment, and expanded to a brigade in 2015.
