The Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising (FIDM) was a private college founded in 1969 by Tonian Hohberg in downtown Los Angeles. In 2023, Arizona State University (ASU) announced that FIDM would become a part of ASU's fashion education program. As of March 31, 2025, the independent institution known as the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising (“FIDM”) officially closed its educational programs.
