It is primarily used for baseball, and is the home field of the Lexington Legends of the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball, an official Partner League of Major League Baseball. Legends Field has been home to the Transylvania University Pioneers baseball team since 2020. In 2024 the university reached an agreement to make the ballpark their home field for another 20 years.
