HBO Max is an over-the-top subscription service owned and operated by Warner Bros. Discovery and run by Warner Bros. Entertainment. It distributes a number of original shows, including original series, specials, miniseries, and documentaries and films. The movies and television shows produced for HBO Max are dubbed "Max Originals". HBO Max is an expanded library of programming compared to the former HBO Now, which only carried HBO programming. Max Originals are specifically made for audiences outside of the traditional baseline HBO brand.
