Enparantza honek itxura laukizuzena eta 1,5 hektareako azalera du. Brandeburgoko Atearen sortaldeko aldean kokatzen da (sartaldeko aldean Martxoaren 18a enparantza kokatzen delarik), mendebaldetik Ekainaren 17a enparantzarekin eta ekialdetik Unter den Linden etorbidearekin loturik dago; 2002ko Brandeburgoko Atearen eraberritze lanen amaiera ondoren, kalea ibilgailuei itxia dago, honela bi kalen arteko komunikabidea itxirik gelditu zelarik.
1945etik hasi eta 1990eko , enparantza hau AEDko debekatutako eremuan kokatzen zen, berarengandik metro gutxi batzuk mendebaldera Mendebaldeko Berlin eta Ekialdeko Berlinen arteko muga zegoelarik, eta 1961etik aurrera, Berlingo harresia.
