1968 ke election ke Fiji ke Legislative Council ke nau Indian Communal seat ke khatir karaa gais rahaa. September 1967 me, Legislative Council ke National Federation Party ke nau member "walk out" hoe gain jab uu logan ke ek aur Constitutional Conference kare ke maang ke sarkar nai kar diis. Jab uu logan dui sitting me nai gais tab uu logan ke seat ke khaali kar dewa gais aur iske khatir by-election 31 August aur 7 September ke biich me bhais.
