Uttar Pradesh India is in the north of India . Its area is 240,928 km2 (93,023 sq mi),which is 7.3% of India's total area. Its capital Lucknow+ other important cities are Banaras (Varansi), Kanpur, Allahabad (Prayagraj), Agra, and Gorakhpur .
