エクセルシオ大学（エクセルシオ・カレッジ）（英語: Excelsior College）は、米国ニューヨーク州オールバニ市に本部を置くアメリカ合衆国の私立大学。1971年創立、1971年大学設置。
概要
エクセルシオ大学は「The Regents External Degree Program」として1971年にニューヨーク州政府によって設立された私立大学である。学生の対象者を社会人にフォーカスしている。授業がエクスターナル、つまりオンラインによって行われ、世界中に学部生が3万名以上在籍。
認可
エクセルシオ大学：「the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools」より高等教育機関としての認可校（accreditation)である。
また、それぞれのプログラムは下記より認可済。
看護教育プログラム：「the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission」より認可。
工学プログラム：「the Technology Accreditation Commission 」より認可。
ビジネスプログラム：「the International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education (IACBE)」より認可。
特徴
- 米国ではディスタンスラーニングとしての地位・評価が高く、この分野のパイオニアである。
- アメリカ版、「大学評価・学位授与機構」でもある。
※過去に他大学等にて取得した単位を申請し、認められ、卒業に必要な単位を修得することにより、エクセルシオ大学の卒業と同時に学位を取得可。ただし、米国の高等教育機関（短大、大学等）にて最低30単位取得とエクセルシオ大学にても指定されたコースの受講が必須。なお、日本の高等教育機関（大学・短大等）で取得した単位を申請する場合には、予めニューヨーク州の評価機関にて日本で取得した単位がアメリカの高等教育機関と同レベルと評価・認定を受ける手続が必要である。満たない単位はエクセルシオ大学で講義を受講し、取得しなければならない。
- ディスタンスラーニングとしては唯一の看護学や看護学修士が学べる。実際に看護学修士の学生の大部分が現役看護師である。
