ローレン・D・エスルマン（Loren D. Estleman、1952年9月15日 - ）は、アメリカ合衆国の推理作家、ウェスタン作家（西部開拓時代を舞台とした作品）。

経歴

1974年、東ミシガン大学を英語とジャーナリズムの学位を取得して卒業。2002年、同校から人文学の名誉博士号を授与される。1993年、同じく推理作家のデボラ・モーガン (Deborah Morgan) と結婚。執筆には手動のタイプライターを使用している。^[1]

代表作は、デトロイトの私立探偵エイモス・ウォーカーが主人公のシリーズや、西部開拓時代を舞台にページ・マードック保安官と殺し屋ピーター・マクリンが活躍するシリーズなど。ウォーカー・シリーズと同じくデトロイトを舞台に、犯罪史を描いたシリーズなども書いている。最近のシリーズでは、失われたフィルムなどをトラック・ダウンして犯罪と関連付けるフィルム探偵ヴァレンティノなどもある。シリーズ外の作品では、「OK牧場の決闘」を再現した"Bloody Season" や、シャーロック・ホームズのパスティーシュ、小説の書き方や売り込み方などのエッセイ寄稿などがある。
