낸시 피어시

낸시 랜돌프 피어시( Nancy Randolph Pearcey, 1952년- )는 기독교 세계관에 대한 미국의 복음주의 저자이며 기독교 잡지의 컬럼스트이다.^[1]

교육

피어시는 아이오와 주립 대학교에서 학사 학위 를, 미주리 주 세인트 루이스에 있는 커버넌트 신학교에서 성서학으로 석사 학위를 취득했다. 그녀는 또한 캐나다 토론토에 있는 기독교학문 연구소 (Institute for Christian Studies)에서 철학에 대한 비 학위 연구를 수행했다.^[2]

경력

피어에는 세계 저널리즘 연구소 (World Journalism Institute)에서 프란시스 쉐퍼(Francis A. Schaeffer) 에 관련한 연학자였다.^[3][4] 2007년 9월 Pearcey는 펜실베니아 주 랭혼에 있는 Philadelphia Biblical University의 대학 연구 센터에서 세계관 연구의 학자로 선정되었다.^[4][5] 2011-12년 Pearcey는 Rivendell Sanctuary에서 교수직을 맡았다.^[6] 2012년 휴스턴 침례교 (Houston Baptist University)에서 학자로 재직했다.^[7] Pearcey는 보수적인 잡지 인 Human Events 의 칼럼니스트이다.^[8]

지적설계

피어시는 지적설계운동에도 적극적인 활동을 하고 있다.^[9] 그녀는 키즈밀러 V 도버학교지역 판결에서 특징적으로 보여준 판다와 인간이라는 지적설계를 지지하는 등학교교재에도 기고를 하였다.^[10]
