리차드 게핀

리차드 게핀(Richard B. Gaffin Jr, 1936 -)는 칼빈주의 신학자이며 장로교 목사이다. 펜실베니아 주 필라델피아에 있는 웨스트민스터 신학교에서 성경과 조직신학 교수이다.

생애

게핀은 중국의 선교사에게서 태어났다. 그는 칼빈 대학에서 B.A.(1958)를 받고 웨스트민스터 신학교에서B.D.(1961), Th.M. (1962), 그리고 Th.D. (1969)를 받았다.

신학

성령론을 구속사적 큰 틀 속에서 제시하면서 오순절 성령 강림의 단회성을 강조하였다. 중생과 성령세례의 동시성을 강조하였다.^[1]
