초행렬

수학과 이론물리학에서 초행렬(超行列, 영어: supermatrix)은 초벡터 공간 사이의 사상을 나타내는 행렬이다.

정의

${\displaystyle (m|n)\times (p|q)}$ 초행렬 ${\displaystyle M}$은 다음과 같은 구조로 이루어진 블록 행렬이다.

${\displaystyle M={\begin{pmatrix}X_{00}&X_{01}\\X_{10}&X_{11}\end{pmatrix}}}$

여기서 ${\displaystyle X_{00}}$은 ${\displaystyle m\times p}$, ${\displaystyle X_{01}}$은 ${\displaystyle m\times q}$, ${\displaystyle X_{10}}$은 ${\displaystyle n\times p}$, ${\displaystyle X_{11}}$은 ${\displaystyle n\times q}$ 행렬이다. ${\displaystyle (p|q)\times (p|q)}$ 행렬을 정사각초행렬(영어: square supermatrix)이라고 한다.

연산

덧셈과 곱셈

같은 크기의 초행렬들은 서로 더할 수 있다. 덧셈은 일반 행렬과 마찬가지로, 각 성분을 더한다.

${\displaystyle (m|n)\times (p|q)}$ 초행렬과 ${\displaystyle (p|q)\times (r|s)}$ 초행렬을 곱하여 ${\displaystyle (m|n)\times (r|s)}$ 초행렬을 얻을 수 있다. 그 곱은 다음과 같다.

초대각합과 초행렬식

정사각초행렬 ${\displaystyle X}$ 의 초대각합(超對角合, 영어: supertrace) ${\displaystyle \operatorname {str} X}$는 다음과 같다.

${\displaystyle \operatorname {str} {\begin{pmatrix}X_{00}&X_{01}\\X_{10}&X_{11}\end{pmatrix}}=\operatorname {tr} X_{00}-\operatorname {tr} X_{11}}$

정사각초행렬 ${\displaystyle X}$ 의 초행렬식(超行列式, 영어: superdeterminant) 또는 베레지니언(영어: Berezinian) ${\displaystyle \operatorname {sdet} X}$는 다음과 같다.

${\displaystyle \operatorname {sdet} {\begin{pmatrix}X_{00}&X_{01}\\X_{10}&X_{11}\end{pmatrix}}=\det(X_{00}-X_{01}X_{11}^{-1}X_{10})\det(X_{11}^{-1})}$

이들은 다음을 만족시킨다.
