ഇലവ്

ഇന്ത്യയിലുടനീളം കാണുന്ന, 40 മീറ്ററിലധികം ഉയരം വയ്ക്കുന്ന ഒരു വന്മരമാണ്^[1] ഇലവ്. (ശാസ്ത്രീയനാമം: Bombax ceiba) - (ഇംഗ്ലീഷ്: Red cotton tree) ആയുർ‌വേദത്തിലെ പ്രസിദ്ധ ഔഷധമായ മോചരസത്തിലെ ചേരുവയാണ്‌ ഇത്. പൂള, മുള്ളിലവ്, മുള്ളിലം എന്നെല്ലാം അറിയപ്പെടുന്നു.
