Pitsunda (abkhasisk: Пиҵунда; russisk: Пицунда; georgisk: ბიჭვინთა, Bitjvinta) er en kurby i distriktet Gagra i utbryterrepublikken Abkhasia i nordvestre Georgia. Småbyen ligger ved Svartehavets kyst, 25 kilometer sør for Gagra. Den hadde 11 000 innbyggere ifølge folketellingen i 1989, men dette tallet har sannsynligvis falt sterkt som følge av krigen på 1990-tallet.
Byen ble grunnlagt av grekerne på 400-tallet f.Kr. som en handelskoloni (Πιτυος; Pityous eller Pitiunt). Utgravninger i området har avdekket rester etter tre 300-tallskirker og et badehus med enestående mosaikkgulv. Av den tidligere havnen i den antikke byen gjenstår nå bare en innsjø inne i byen. Metropolitten av Pitsunda var til stede under kirkemøtet i Nikea i år 325. Sankt Johannes Chrysostomos ble landsforvist til byen og døde rett utenfor dens kyst i 407. På 500-tallet var byen et av de fremste politiske og religiøse senter i kongedømmet Egrisi (Lazica). Byen ble sete for en erkebiskop i 541.
Byen ble på 700-tallet del av kongedømmet Abkhasia, og på 900-tallet av Georgia. På slutten av 900-tallet bygde kong Bagrat III en anselig katedral i byen, og i den finnes det i dag spor av murmalinger fra 1200- og 1500-tallene.
Byen var også sete for det georgisk-ortodokse katolikatet i Abkhasia til sent 1500-tall da området kom under osmansk overhøyhet. Fra 1200- til 1400-tallet fantes det der en genovesisk handelskoloni kalt Pezonda.
I begynnelsen av 1800-tallet tilfalt byen Russland. Under Krimkrigen stod den 9. november 1853 utenfor dens kyster slaget ved Pitsunda.
Byen er i dag et turistby, gjerne besøkt av russere om sommeren.
