Straumsnes,[1][2] er ei bygd i Narvik kommune i Nordland. Bygda ligger ved Rombaksfjorden, cirka en mil øst/nordøst for Narvik sentrum, og omfatter Fagerjord, Sletta, Ytre Straumsnes, Øvre Straumsnes, Indre Straumsnes og Klubnes med et samlet innbyggertall på 269.[3] Straumsnes stasjon er stoppested på Ofotbanen.

Bygdas navn har sitt opphav fra Straumen, som er den trange delen av Rombaksfjorden mellom Sørnesodden og Langstrandodden, hvor Rombaksbrua krysser. Straumen hadde tidligere navnet Strømmen, og bygdas navn ble stavet Strømsnes. I forbindelse med rettskrivningsreformen på begynnelsen av 1900-tallet ble skrivemåten Straumsnes etablert, og denne stavemåten har vært benyttet, uten unntak, siden 1920-tallet som for eksempel i Straumsnes stasjon, Straumsnes skole, Straumsnesveien og poståpneriet som benyttet stempelet «Straumsnes i Ofoten».[4][5][6]. Bygdas offisielle navn, godkjent av kommunen, var derimot Strømsnes fra 1972 til 2017.[1][7] 1. november 2017 ble stavemåten Straumsnes godkjent av kommunen.
