Lo nom del pòble, Candaraii, a testificat dempuèi 1143. La distincion de Champdray aperteniá en partida al capítol de Remiremont. Lo vilatge i aguèt incendiat cap a 1642. A l'esperital, la municipalitat èra annèxa de Camps e i aguèt erigit en curació lo 14 de genièr de 1670 o 1674.

Le nom du village, Candaraii, est attesté depuis 1143. La seigneurie de Champdray appartenait en partie au chapitre de Remiremont. Le village fut incendié vers 1642. Au spirituel, la commune était annexe de Champs et fut érigé en cure le 14 janvier 1670 ou 1674.
