George Washington Goethals (29 de junh de 1858, Brooklyn - 21 de genier de 1928, Manhattan) es un engenhaire e un generau estatsunidenc. Especialista de l'engeni militar, foguèt charjat de dirigir e d'achabar la construccion dau canau de Panamà de 1907 a 1914. Per aquò, obtenguèt l'ajuda decisiva dau metge militar William C. Gorgas (1854-1920) e dau coroneu David du Bose Gaillard (1859-1913).
