W dniu 1 stycznia 2019 roku z połączenia czterech ówczesnych gmin – Cézia, Chemilla, Lavans-sur-Valouse oraz Saint-Hymetière – powstała nowa gmina Saint-Hymetière-sur-Valouse. Siedzibą gminy została miejscowość Chemilla[3].
