Johnny Winter, właśc. John Dawson Winter III (ur. 23 lutego 1944 w Beaumont[1], zm. 16 lipca 2014 w Zurychu)[2] – amerykański wokalista, gitarzysta i kompozytor. Reprezentant nurtów takich jak rock’n’roll, blues, rhythm’n’blues. Swoją karierę zaczynał grając z bratem Edgarem w lokalnych teksańskich klubach. Jego aktywność przypada głównie na lata 70.
Styl Wintera poznać można po charakterystycznej grze na gitarze, często na najcieńszej strunie.
W 2003 roku został sklasyfikowany na 74. miejscu listy 100 najlepszych gitarzystów wszech czasów magazynu Rolling Stone[3].
