The current banner o Eritrea wis adopt on December 5, 1995, an uises the basic layoot o the banner o the Eritrean Fowkliberation Front, wi the wreath wi upricht olive branch seembol derived frae the 1952 banner.

The banner is dominate bi a reid triangle stendin frae the hoist tae the flee wi complementary green an blue triangles abuin an ablo. Green stauns for the fertility o the kintra respectively for agriculture; blae stauns for the ocean an reid for the bluid lost in the fecht for freedom. In the reid triangle, a yellae wreath seembol wi 14 leaves on ilka side derived frae the 1952 banner replaces the yellae starn o the EPLF banner.
