The current banner o Mongolie wis adoptit on Februar 12, 1992. It is seemilar tae the banner o 1949, except for the removal o the socialist starn. It haes three equal, vertical bands o reid (hoist side), blue, an reid. Centered on the hoist-side reid baund in yellae is the naitional emblem (the Soyombo symbol - a columnar arrangement o abstract an geometric representations o fire, sun, moon, earth, watter, an the Taijitu or Yin-Yang symbol).
