The banner o Scotland featurs a white saltire, a crux decussate (X-shapit ruid) representin the ruid o the Christian mairtyr Saunt Andra, the patron saunt o Scotland, on a blue field. It is cried the Saltire or the Saunt Andra's Cross. In heraldic langage, it can be blazoned Azure, a saltire argent.
