General Obligado Depairtment

The General Obligado Depairtment (Spaingie: Departamento General Obligado) is a admeenistrative subdiveesion (departamento) o the province o Santa Fe, Argentinae. It is locatit in the northeast o the province. It haes aboot 166,000 inhabitants as per the 2001 census [INDEC]. Its heid toun is the ceety o Reconquista (population 66,000).

The depairtment is locatit on the northeastren "corner" o Santa Fe, bordered bi the Vera Depairtment in the wast an the San Javier Depairtment in the sooth. In the north it limits wi the province o Chaco, an in the east, wi the Paraná River, which is the natural border wi the province o Corrientes.
