Michael D. Higgins (born 18 Aprile 1941 in Limerick) is the Preses o the Republic o Ireland, syne 11 November 2011, whan he succeedit Mary McAleese. He is an umwhile member o the Irish pairlament an aa, representin the Labour Pairty. He representit the Wast Galway constituency in the Dáil Éireann.
