Herbert Stothart

Herbert Stothart (11. septembar 1885 – 1. februar 1949) bio je američki kompozitor, aranžer, tekstopisca i dirigent, najpoznatiji kao autor muzike za popularne broadwayske operete i mjuzikle, odnosno hollywoodske filmove. Stotharta je 1929. godine, nedugo nakon početka zvučne ere, Louis B. Mayer eksluzivnim dvadesetogodišnjim ugovorom vezao za studio Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer. Tamo je postao zaslužan za niz velikih hitova, a za rad na znamenitom filmu The Wizard of Oz je nagrađen Oscarom.
