Howard Fast

Howard Melvin Fast (11. novembar 1914 – 12. mart 2003) bio je američki književnik, filmski i televizijski scenarist, koji je također pisao pod pseudonimima E. V. Cunningham i Walter Ericson. Najpoznatiji je kao autor historijskog romana Spartacus koji je ekraniziran u obliku znamenitog holivudskog spektakla iz 1960. Fast je po svom opredijeljenju bio komunist, a roman je napisao u zatvoru gdje je izdržavao kaznu zbog odbijanja suradnje sa HUAC-om u doba Druge crvene panike.
