John Kerry (11. decembar 1943 -) je američki demokratski političar koji trenutno služi kao državni sekretar SAD. Prije toga je bio stariji senator iz države Massachusetts i predsjednik senatskog Odbora za vanjske poslove. Svjetskoj javnosti je poznat po tome što je godine 2004. kao predsjednički kandidat Demokratske stranke izgubio izbore od tadašnjeg republikanskog predsjednika Georgea W. Busha. Američkoj je javnosti postao poznat kada je početkom 1970-ih, nakon sudjelovanja u vijetnamskom ratu kao mornarički oficir postao jedan od njegovih najžešćih kritičara te vodio organizaciju Vijetnamski veterani protiv rata. U Massachusettsu je služio kao pomoćnik okružnog tužioca, viceguverner u administraciji Michaela Dukakisa, da bi godine 1985. preuzeo senatsko mjesto na kome se nalazi dan-danas.
Kerry se smatra jednim od vodećih ličnosti na lijevom krilu američke Demokratske stranke.
