James Maxwell Anderson (15. decembar 1888 – 28. februar 1959) je bio američki književnik i novinar, poznat kao autor drama na temelju kojih su snimljeni brojni hollywoodski filmovi. Godine 1933. je za svoju dramu Both Your Houses osvojio Pulitzerovu nagradu.
