Michael Arlen

Michael Arlen (Ruse, Bugarska, 16.11., 1895 - 23.6. 1956), rođen kao Dikran Kouyoumdjian, bio je armenski esejist, novelist, romanopisac, dramatičar i scenarist, koji je doživio vrhunac književne slave pišući 1920-ih u Engleskoj. Najpoznatiji je po satiričkim romanima s radnjom u engleskom visokom društvu, ali je također pisao i gotske horore i psihološke trilere, od kojih je "The Gentleman from America," godine 1956. adaptiran kao epizoda Hitchcockove TV-serije Alfred Hitchcock Presents. Pred kraj života se posvetio političkim spisima. Arlenov stil pisanja je dobio naziv Arlenesque.
