Powell i Pressburger

Britanski sineasti Michael Powell (1905 - 1990) i Emeric Pressburger (1902 - 1988) su predstavljali jedan od najuspješnijih, najuglednijih i najuticajnijih tandema u historiji britanske i svjetske kinematografije, čija su mnoga ostvarenja, pogotovo ona stvorena 1940-ih dobila status filmske klasike. Powell i Pressburger su suradnju započeli 1939. godine, upoznavši se tokom snimanja filma The Spy in Black, a četiri godine kasnije osnovali i vlastitu producentsku kuću pod imenom The Archers ("Strijelci"). Partnerstvo je službeno razvrgnuto 1957. godine, ai su Powell i Pressburger do kraja života ostali dobri prijatelji, te su zajedno surađivali na još dva filma.
