Robert Sylvester Kelly poznat kao R. Kelly, rođen je 8. januar 1967. godine u Chicago, država Illinois (SAD). On je vrlo poznat američki pevač, plesač, pisac pesama i glumac. Postao je R'n'B pevač 1989. godine, a od 1992. je jedan od najvećih stvaralaca u ovom žanru muzike jer je imao velikih uspeha sa singlovima i albumima.
