Aussie, Aussie, Aussie! Oi, Oi, Oi! is a popular Australian patriotic cheer or chant often performed at international sporting events that involve an Australian national team. It is a variant of the "Oggy Oggy Oggy" chant used by football and rugby union fans in Cornwall, which started in the 1960s but was originally what was shouted down the Tin mines of Cornwall when the miners crib/croust (Lunch) usually a pasty baked by the miners wives were sent down to the miners, The Cornish Pasty is also called an Oggie. The Australian version of the chant is thought to have originated at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney.
