It went to number 1 in Australia, Canada, Finland, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Scotland, Spain and the United Kingdom and reached the top 10 in Austria, Belgium, Germany, New Zealand, Sweden and Switzerland. It also went to number 21 in the United States.
