The 2016 presidential campaign of Bobby Jindal, the Governor of Louisiana, was formally launched on June 24, 2015. It's headquarters is in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Background
His candidacy for the Republican nomination for President of the United States in the 2016 election comes after years of speculation concerning a possible candidacy following the 2012 election. Jindal is the first Indian American and third Asian American to run for President of the United States.[2]
On November 17, 2015, Jindal officially suspended his presidential campaign, saying "this is not my time".[3]

Announcement
Jindal officially launched his campaign for the 2016 Republican presidential nomination on June 24, 2015 with an announcement via Twitter,[4] ahead of a planned formal announcement in the New Orleans suburb of Kenner later that day.

As of late July 2015, Jindal has been polling about 1.4 % of the Republican primary electorate.
